PRS SE 245 Flaming Maple Tobacco Sunburst with Custom Hardwood Case Distinction. Presence. Clarity. Authority. These words come to mind as I try to describe this PRS SE 245. A beautiful example of Paul’s take on the venerable LP, and a worthy challenger in every respect. The vintage look and feel of this guitar is clean, slick, and professional. It makes a statement. This is a pretty serious guitar you’ll be pleased to display on Friday and Saturday night. When this guitar speaks, you will listen! This 245 weighs a solid 8.5 lbs, not light, but still comfortable, and far less than some LP’s I have hoisted. The neck is full, the wide/fat description familiar to vintage purists. Fret board and frets are excellent, intonation is accurate with the adjustable stop tail bridge, and the tuners hold pitch well through your bends. Very even, consistent wood grain lends to harmonics and sustain. It plays really well, it plays easily, and it sounds awesome. Four controls offer quick and simple versatility, and the favored 245 S pickups have the range, power and authority to tell it all. If you’ve been looking for a Les Paul alternative, this could be the one. This SE 245 is as nice a model with beautiful bookmatched flame as I have seen, and it comes in a great custom hardwood case, too. The guitar rates as Excellent +, (I save «Mint» for a new, unplayed piece), there is not a mark on it, hardly noticeable fret wear, and a like new appearance. It’s cleaned and polished, frets polished smooth, and ready to gig today. Please feel free to ask questions or make a fair offer. I am an experienced packer, and I pack like I’m shipping to myself.
