Fleur de Fleurs was launched in 1982. The nose behind this fragrance is Betty Busse. Top notes are Aldehydes, Green Notes, Bergamot and Lemon; middle notes are Hiacynth, Lily-of-the-Valley, Lilac, Magnolia, Cyclamen, Iris, Ylang-Ylang, Jasmine and and Rosemary; base notes are Civet, Sandalwood and Musk. This does not mean that they have gone bad; it is just the natural ageing process. The initial fragrance decreases with time as the concentration changes due to the process of oxidation. Perfumes with heavier base notes such as orientals or those with amber and patchouli will last the longest. Those with lighter base notes such as citrus, green and floral perfumes have a solution that is more volatile and are therefore more subject to change. As I acquire most of my perfumes from estate sales, this is not something that I can control. Therefore I cannot offer a refund for such a change or because you simply don’t like how they appear now.
