This listing is primarily from the 1970’s (although some of the photos are from WWII era) and all contents specifically regard GOODYEAR AEROSPACE headquarters in Akron, OH. Included are several Maps, Diagrams, Photos and signed letters regarding prospective business investments on behalf of Cleveland’s infamous Nick Mileti & Stephen Zayac. Both letters were signed by Goodyear’s Manager & New Venture Analysis at the time J. D. Feldscher. This listing is unique in the sense that is shows Goodyear’s past as well as present (leading up into the 1970’s). GOODYEAR LISTING CONTENTS (Total individual items included 12): 2 – Original 8” x 10” high gloss Goodyear photos taken by Goodyear’s Aerospace Photo Department (stamped on back of each) included which show the blimps within the air dock as well as the Goodyear site at Akron Airport. Both Corsairs and Airships were built at this site. Today it is owned by Lockheed-Martin. The building to the left of the Airdock is where 3,940 Brewster Corsairs were assembled during WWII! 1 – Signed letter sent to Steve Zayac dated October 20, 1971 regarding Goodyear Air Dock location (mentions an article included that was sent – which is included in this listing). 1 – Signed letter sent to Nick Mileti dated June 5, 1972 regarding railroad project tying into Goodyears Aerospace inclusion (also see other listings that I have on my account regarding Mileti’s interest in Railroad development, etc). 1 – Goodyear Aerospace Corporation to Cleveland Hopkins & Akron Canton Airports map which has notes showing Mileti’s rail/train developments (all of which fires into their proposals and discussion regarding some sort of business idea Mileti was presenting to Goodyear). Measuring 8.5” x 11”. 2 – Goodyear Aerospace Corporation maps that show Plant D, C, B as well as access points and roadways. 1 – Goodyear Aerospace Airdock sheet dated May of 1970 regarding the 1929 air dock. Measuring 8.5” x 11” 1 – “Building the World’s Largest Airship Factory and Dock” this is a photo copy that was sent by Feldscher to Mileti on June 5, 1972. It is 10 pages long and page 10 has some notes and underlining as well as the back having some mathematics and notes (regarding/pertaining to proposals from Mileti). 2 – Maps: One is dated 7/15/71 and shows Facility Planning Data. Another is dated Jan 1972 and specifies floor space allocation, the third is also of the Jan 1972 floor space allocation but the margins are slightly adjusted as the Jan 1972 map was over size and needed to be printed twice to show all schematics. Each map measures: 16.5” x 11” 1 – Spring 1970 Goodyear Aerospace Profile magazine measuring 9” x 12” and 14 pages. INDIVIDUALS MENTIONED WITHIN THIS LISTING: – Nick Mileti was an influential and integral part of Cleveland Ohio as he was an American author, lawyer, businessman, sports entrepreneur and sports franchise owner who was, during the 1970s, the owner of the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Crusaders, the Cleveland Arena, the Coliseum at Richfield, and radio station «3WE» WWWE AM/1100 (now WTAM). – Stephen Zayac was also an important part of Cleveland as he was one of the principal Co-Founders and first President of the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland (committed to helping families with sick and injured children). He led the development of the Richfield Coliseum (for Mileti), where he was Executive Vice President, as well as 38 non-profit elderly housing facilities.
