Antique Mexican Charro Vaquero Style Inlaid Single Spur ca. 1920’s (#900-644) Click images to enlarge Description Offered is a single antique Mexican charro style vaquero spur. It probably dates to the 1920’s or so and has geometric patterns engraved on it. In its day, it had inlaid silver decoration but the silver has since worn off. It has a very nice patina. We could find no markings on this spur which is common for old Mexican spurs. The Mexican word “charro” means horseman or cowboy. This spur is made of heavy forged iron. It has an eight-point, 3.25” rowel and decorated swinging buttons. Oh, the stories this spur could tell…. Dimension/size – see photos for dimensions. It weighs almost one pound two ounces. Condition – this spur shows its age with some light rust and minor pitting. The rowel spins freely. Please see photos.
